The commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League says he’s very impressed by plans for a new downtown centre in Moncton.
Gilles Courteau visited Moncton today to meet with the mayor and team officials with the Moncton Wildcats.
Courteau says the new stadium will be state-of-the-art in the Q league.
“It’s going to be built with brand new technology and everything will be up-to-par with where we are today and where we will be twenty years from now,” says Corteau.
The Wildcats are expected to become a major tenant in the new downtown centre starting in the fall of 2018 – although a formal deal has not yet been ironed out.
