Federal Funding For Poley

It was a big weekend at Poley Mountain with the official opening of the new and larger ski lodge.

The official opening was also marked by a funding announcement by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency in the form of half a million dollars to help pay for reconstruction.

The original ski lodge that was built in 1988 went up in flames in December of 2014 at an estimated loss of 3 million dollars.

The new ski lodge is 29 thousand square feet, 70 per cent larger than the original.
