City Of Moncton Creates Immigration Council

Funding has been received from the federal government to allow the City of Moncton to create a Greater Moncton Local Immigration Partnership Council.

The money comes from the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

These councils are created in an effort to attract more newcomers and assist in their integration through enhanced economic, social, political and civic participation.

The partnership will be led by the City of Moncton and will be made up of a council of immigration stakeholders, immigrants, business community, and municipal government partners.
