It was a packed house at the first of the final consultation sessions being held across the province in advance of next months provincial budget.
The meeting was held at the KC Irving Centre in Bouctouche, but many were forced to stand outside, because of the large crowd.
Many protesters who are members of unions across the province attended, upset over some of the ideas that have been floated by the Liberal government, that includes eliminating teacher positions and privatizing more government services.
The Gallant government is also floating the idea of raising the HST to 15 per cent.
A consultation session is planned for Dieppe on January 18th. It is being held from 6:30 until 8:30 at École Mathieu-Martin on Champlain Street.
