The President of the Food Depot Alimentaire hopes to get the keys to the Garrison building next month, so renovations can get underway.
The Food Depot acquired the building last month.
Dale Hicks says they have big plans for the facility.
“We’re going to probably have a teaching kitchen there at some point, there’ll probably be a thrift store with maybe an educational component in terms of budgeting when you’re out shopping, we’ll introduce that somehow, we’re also going to have a garden there,” says Hicks.
Hicks says their goal is to work with individuals on a one on one basis and try to get them in a better position in their life.
