Winter Driving Tips

As Canadians, it usually takes us at least one or two snow falls to get used to driving in winter weather again.

John Mahler is the leading driving expert in Canada, he says most drivers have a tendency of not looking far enough down the road when driving.

He says that makes us react to quickly, which causes a loss of traction.

Mahler says until our brains get used to not having as much traction in the winter, we need to slow down.

He says to be aware at intersections or stop signs because crude from the bottom of cars tend to fall off and it very quickly freezes, giving you a big surprise when you try to stop on an icy spot.
