One of the most memorable deals for the City of Moncton in 2015 was securing the finances to build a downtown entertainment centre.
Moncton Mayor George Leblanc supported the idea from the start, and he looks forward to 2016 when the work will finally get underway.
He says, “We are doing some preliminary, preparational work for the site, and we expect shovels to be in the ground by March. We should be opening the doors hopefully sometime in early 2018. I think it is going to be one of the most exciting and impactful projects and developments in the city in decades.”
He says he has also heard from many others who are also very excited about this centre, and who are also interested in developing in the downtown.
