Nature Conservancy Wants To Preserve More Land In Musquash

The Nature Conservancy has a chance to protect more land in Musquash with a property owner willing to sell 86 acres at Western Head just beyond the mouth of the estuary on Little Musquash Cove.

The Nature Conservancy has to raise 25 thousand dollars between now and early February in order to leverage matching funds from both Environment Canada and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The land has lots of forest with wetlands and is considered ideal habitat for bobcats, bear, moose, coyotes and many migratory birds.

The Musquash Estuary is the only marine protected area in New Brunswick.
