An investigation is underway after a body was found inside a home early this morning..
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says the discovery was made after they responded to reports of a fire at the two storey townhouse at 96 Sumac Street, near Mill Road.
He says the body was found as they were fighting the fire.
He couldn’t comment on exactly where in the home the body was found, due to the investigation that is now being conducted by Codiac RCMP.
There’s no word on what started the fire, but Dollemont says there wasn’t a lot of flame, and it appeared to be a content fire that started inside the house.
