Four projects will receive funding in the City of Dieppe’s participatory budgeting project.
Residents were asked to submit their ideas for for projects that they would like to see completed in an effort to improve the community.
They started with around 100 ideas and that was narrowed to 18. Over 1400 votes were collected and each project needed a minimum support of 25 per cent, to narrow the number to four.
The winners were announced last night. Lakeburn Rocks, for an indoor climbing wall, an outdoor physical training circuit, an old fashioned natural park and boards and a special playing surface for ball hockey.
$300, 000 in funding will be divided up for the winning projects.
