Remember To Donate Your Turkeys Down Back At The St. George Street Firehall

This year’s Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters turkey drive is officially underway, and the donations have begun pouring in.

Your turkey should be dropped off down back at the St. George firehall, by the training division. The turkeys are loaded into a freezer and Midland has provided a trailer, for the turkeys to be taken to the Food Depot Alimentaire to be stored.

Fire Prevention Officer Brian Parker says the turkeys pass through the firefighters hands several times, because they first collect the turkeys when you donate them, then they load them for storage. The next step is when the turkeys are distributed in the Christmas Food Boxes, the firefighters help to hand them to those who are doing the deliveries.

This year’s goal for the turkey drive is to have 4050 turkeys collected. The drive wraps up on December 11th.
