Marcel Dupuis of Memramcook has been a practicing Lumberjack for the past nine years. This month he returned from Poland after placing 6th at the world Lumberjack competition.
He was there as the sole representative of Team Canada..and he was up against around 23 other countries.
Dupuis is looking forward to another competition for 2016, the Champions Trophy, which is coming up in May next year.
Being a Lumberjack takes a lot of training. Dupuis does it both in his spare time, and in his job as a Moncton firefighter. He says they also have to swing a lot of axes and use chainsaws.
