Food Depot Alimentaire will be moving into its new location in the Garrison Building early in the New Year.
President Dale Hicks says the new centralized location on St. George Street will bring all of Moncton’s food banks together.
He believes there will more efficiences and better service for clients.
Hicks hopes to receive the keys to the Garrison Building before Christmas and renovations will be made after that.
He anticipates the new food bank will open to clients by late winter or early spring.
Hicks notes that Food Depot Alimentaire’s current warehouse in the Caledonia Industrial Park will remain in place since it is a distribution centre for all food banks in the southeastern part of the province.
