A Moncton man is facing charges in connection with a suspicious fire in Harewood this weekend.
RCMP were called to a residential fire on highway 112 in Harewood just after noon on Saturday.
While there was no one inside the home at the time of the fire, it was badly damaged by the flames.
34 year old Peter Keith was arrested later that same day in Moncton.
He attempted to avoid arrest by running from police when his vehicle was stopped near Centennial Park.
Keith has been charged with arson and will also be facing other charges in connection to other complaints related to the same residence.
He remains in custody until his bail hearing tomorrow in Moncton Provincial Court.
