The owner of a furniture store in Kent County plans to continue the business despite a devastating fire over the weekend.
The call came in late Sunday morning at Richibucto Furniture with firefighters from both Richibucto and Rexton helping to extinguish the blaze.
Fire officials say although the building is still standing, the interior was heavily damaged.
The owner estimates the damage at more than $1.6 million.
Investigators are looking into the cause.
