The new Caledonia Fire Station is on schedule and set to open this Spring.
That’s according to Moncton Fire Chief Eric Arsenault.
He gave a brief report to Moncton City Council today at their Five Year Capital Works Budget deliberations meeting.
“Part of the financial model that we had proposed to Council to pay for the new Fire Station has the consideration for the selling of the current McLaughlin Fire Station,” says Arsenault.
Arsenault says the final decision to sell or not is up to Council.
He adds they will be transitioning the firefighters with all of their equipment from the current McLaughlin fire station to the Caledonia fire station sometime in early March or April of 2016.
