An ambitious goal this year from the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation.
They’ve set their fundraising goal at 950 thousand dollars.
Campaign Co-Chair Karen Teed says the money will be used to provide assistance to several areas of the Hospital, including to purchase fetal monitors that will help eliminate the time consuming task of recording patient records by hand. That will give caregivers more time to commit to the newborn babies who need the attention and care.
It is also for the purchase of smart beds for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit and for a green space for the help of healing addiction and mental health patients..
Teed says they hope to reach their goal by April of next year.
