Mount A Prof Says Right Team Will Help New PM Build A Strong Government

A date has been set for the swearing in of Canada’s newest Prime Minister. Justin Trudeau will be sworn in on November 4th.

He will also name his Cabinet the same day.

Assistant Professor in the Politics Department at Mount Allison University Mario Levesque says the right team will help Trudeau build a strong Liberal government.

He says, “I think he can put together a really good team in a Cabinet. They have a lot on their agenda to do. If Mr. Trudeau surrounds himself with some good people, we could see a number of good changes.”

Levesque suspects that Trudeau already has several things top of mind that he will work on first. They include an inquiry into missing aboriginal women, a first ministers meeting, changes to the immigration file and also changes in the treatment of our veterans.

He says people want a different type of politics, and there are a lot of expectations on Trudeau.
