Woman Charged In Bouctouche Shooting

Following a lengthy investigation, a Bouctouche woman has been charged in a shooting incident which dates back to spring.

RCMP say 45-year-old Lise LeBlanc is facing offences including discharging a firearm with intent, unsafe storage and careless use of a firearm, and aggravated assault.

In late May, a 40-year-old Richibucto man was found with a gunshot wound after his car veered off the road near Bouctouche.

The man was hospitalized for his injuries.

Lise LeBlanc will return to court on Thursday.
