The New Brunswick economy hasn’t shown much activity since the financial meltdown of 2008, with a lot of younger people leaving the province for work.
It’s leaving some to think the future is bleak.
Federal Conservative Leader Stephen Harper tells CHSJ News the liberals are at fault for the way they’ve managed money in the province.
Harper says the Liberal party federally is proposing the same type of approach, which includes deficits and higher taxes, ultimately leading to benefit cuts.
Harper says New Brunswick can’t afford that type of approach at both levels of government.
