Resurgo Place got a hefty financial boost at City Council last night.
The Greater Moncton Museum Society gave $25,000 to the Resurgo Place Endowment Fund which supports education and special programming projects.
Society President Lourdes O’Reilly says it would be nice if the fund could be used to help those without a lot of disposable income.
She adds Resurgo Place sometimes does traveling exhibits and not everyone can afford to visit them.
This is the second donation from the GMMS, bringing their total up to $50,000.
The proceeds this time came from the sale of their book “Greater Moncton, Then & Now.”
