The University of New Brunswick launching a year-long cyber security awareness campaign to protect students, faculty and staff from online threats.
Director of Strategic Initiatives David Shipley says the first step is knowing how to identify a fraudulent email.
He says its essential to have some form of anti-virus on your computer. He says there is no technology that is immune to viruses.
Shipley says criminals will set up systems that will keep checking to see if they can break in. He says UNB gets roughly 80 attempts per second to break into their network.
