The United of Way of Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick has launched its annual campaign goal.
A goal of almost $2.3 million was unveiled during a kick-off event at the Delta Beausejour today.
Chairperson Lawrence Forbes says many don’t realize the United Way has an impact on at least one in three people in the community.
“Whether it be financial or just through the support that the staff give to the agencies. If not us, somebody in our family or a friend. It’s very close to us what goes on with United Way.”
The United Way is supporting more than 25 community agencies and groups over the next year including Moncton Headstart, Ability Transit, Crossroads for Women and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
