If clear skies are forecast for the region Sunday night look up because you could catch a lunar eclipse.
Sunday night, we’ll have the full package of a total supermoon lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon.
Supermoons look 14% larger and are 33% brighter.
Backyard Astronomer Gary Boyle says it will all happen between Sunday night and Monday morning.
“We’ll see the entire event starting at 10:07 PM on Sunday night, and lasting until 1:27 on Monday morning,” says Boyle.
In order to see the full effect you’ll need a clear sky of course.
Boyle adds it’s safe to both look at the eclipse and to photograph it.
