Husband Of Richard Oland’s Secretary Testifies At Dennis Oland Murder Trial

The husband of Richard Oland’s secretary taking the stand at the second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland and testifying about seeing a man walking into the building containing Far End Corporation while waiting for his wife to finish up work on July 6, 2011.

The body of Richard Oland was discovered in his office on July 7.

William Adamson saying that he went to pick up his wife at 5:20pm that day, describing it as a quiet day without much pedestrian traffic. Adamson says the man was of an average build, without facial hair, wearing tan slacks and a brown jacket. He recalls the man was carrying a red tote bag saying that “I would guess there was something in the bag because it wasn’t flopping around” but noting “it wasn’t anything that was extremely heavy.”

Adamson says he remembers because at that time of day if someone is going in the building that would mean there’s a possibility his wife would have more work to do and he’d be sitting there waiting longer.

Adamson says he drove his wife Maureen to work on the morning of July 7 after getting coffee from Tim Hortons. She was dropped off around 9 o’clock.
