Death Of Missing Truro Police Officer Being Investigated As Homicide

A Facebook posting from Nova Scotia this morning is reporting that the body of a missing Truro Police Constable has been found.

The posting is from Catherine Campbell’s sister, Amy Campbell Garneau. It says “As I write this it breaks my heart, we have found Catherine. My family would like to thank everyone who sent out prayers, hope, and support during this time. My sister has gone home to be with the angels.”

Halifax Police have not offered any further comment at this point.

36 year old Campbell was last seen September 10th.

Initially, police believed she was last seen at her home in Dartmouth, but the investigation has revealed she attended a bar in downtown Halifax early Friday morning.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Halifax man this morning in Clayton Park.
