The Food Depot Alimentaire is working hard to ensure there’s food on the tables of every single person in our community, but they need your help.
Next week is hunger awareness week, and the goal of the food bank is to raise $30, 000.
President Dale Hicks says this money can be used to buy a lot of the items that they don’t see donated.
Things like dairy and produce, are not often received through donations, because they collect non perishable food items, when they have food drives. They are always looking for ways to find a healthy alternative for those in need.
The week runs from September 19 until the 26th, and there are a number of fun activities for the public to participate in.
