The Codiac Regional RCMP are investigating an aggravated assault which sent a Moncton resident in his mid-twenties to hospital.
On Saturday, the RCMP received a 911 call reporting that a man was assaulted on Church street in Moncton.
Police found a male victim unconscious on the sidewalk suffering from serious injuries.
Investigators believe there were at least two suspects seen assaulting the victim and they fled before police arrived.
