Elections Canada Preparing Voters To Cast Ballots

The federal election campaign will likely garner more attention now that summer is winding down and Elections Canada wants to make sure Canadians know how and where to vote on October 19.

Elections Canada spokesperson Diane Benson says most Canadians will already be registered and there are four ways to cast a ballot including during the advance polls.

“What’s new this time around is that we have an extra day of advance voting. It is going to happen Friday, October 9, as well as Saturday, October 10, Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12,” notes Benson.

Benson says you can also cast a ballot by mail or anytime at your local returning office… and of course you can always wait until election day on October 19.
