The decisions by District Education Councils and approved by the Minister of Education to close two elementary schools became a matter before the courts.
There are fears this could become more common.
Premier Brian Gallant is not ruling out a look at Policy 409 and how school with tiny populations are reviewed for possible closure as part of the Strategic Program Review.
He says everything is on the table adding if they have suggestions on how the Government can deliver services more efficiently they will certainly listen.
Gallant says the government recognizes the impact these decisons have on people.
