Gabriel Comeau’s family are reaching out to say thanks for the support given to them since his death in Nova Scotia.
The young cadet from Quispamsis died after a severe asthma attack while in the Cadet Training Centre at CFB Greenwood.
The family says Gabriel could light up any room with his smile and his light has never shone brighter than during this time.
He joined the Air Cadets at 12 after watching his brothers being involved for 5 years adding he loved being a part of the program.
The family goes on to say that Gabe had immediate medical care of the finest quality and that they went above and beyond to try and save our boy.
They also say that Gabriel would never want this to be used as an excuse to exclude other kids with pre-existing health concerns from activities like Cadets and Cadet Training Centres.
