Liberal cabinet minister Rick Doucet, who’s also the M-L-A for Fundy the Isles and West Saint John, is hoping a review now underway will find a permanent fix to the problems plaguing the Grand Manan Adventure which broke down over the weekend.
He’s frustrated over the continual breakdowns with the 68 million dollar ferry still off its run today, saying the time has long past to get to the bottom of whatever is plaguing the vessel.
Doucet expects the review will be done by the end of the summer followed by a plan of action but there seems to be some sort of problem with the engines and turbo chargers.
The Grand Manan V has been presed into service in the meantime.
