Federal Liberals Say They Won’t Use Negative Ads To Target Voters

The election campaign was launched just over a week ago but Canadians have been hearing election ads for much longer than that.

The Conservative party has taken aim at Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau.

Incumbent Liberal MP for Beausejour Dominic Leblanc says his party won’t be using to same negativity to target voters.

“Canadians are, I think, better than that, they look to their leaders to offer positive, constructive solutions to their every day challenges,” says LeBlanc.

Leblanc says the negative campaigning by Harper has temporarily affected some Canadians but he says his party will answer the unfair and unreasonable assertions that have been put forward by the Conservative party.

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair has also been the focus of several Conservative campaign ads as well.
