Happy Birthday To 91.9 The Bend!

My, how time fies, especially when you’re having fun.

On August 8th, 2014, CKNI-FM, which was formally under the news/talk format, was rebranded, and relaunched as a music station. It became known as 91.9 The Bend.

Acadia Broadcasting acquired the radio station from Rogers Broadcasting.

Today is the one year anniversary of the birth of 91.9 The Bend.

Program Director Leo Melanson says, over the past year, the community has welcomed us with open arms, and he thanked everyone for all of their support.

He says he looks forward to more gret things to come from 91.9 The Bend.

In celebration of the first year, celebrations will be held at Centennial Park from noon until 4pm today.

There will games and prizes, and the festivities are free. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Acadia Broadcasting owns eleven radio stations in Canada, four in New Brunswick, two in Nova Scotia and five in Ontario.
