The election campaign won’t be top of mind right now for most Atlantic Canadians – according to incumbent Conservative candidate Robert Goguen representing Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe.
Goguen says most will be more concerned with checking the weather forecast right now, than what is happening on the campaign trail.
But he adds the long campaign will come at a bit of an advantage to the Tories.
“According to the data, the Conservative Party has more money available to do the campaigning… from that prospective yes… but are people tuned in or are they checking the price of lobster.”
Goguen believes there will be some campaigning going on right now but the intensity of it here won’t compare to other parts of Canada.
