The Tories are trending upwards, that according to the latest poll numbers from the latest Nanos Party Power Index.
The weekly poll is for the period ending July 31st, which was prior to the official launch of the election campaign
The NDP remain on top with 55 points out of a possible 100. The Conservatives climbed to 53, more than one point higher than the week before. The Liberals have 50. The Green Party scored 29.
In the most recent survey, 31 per cent of Canadians preferred Stephen Harper as Prime Minister. NDP Leader Tom Mulcair was second with 28 per cent, and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau was third with 22 per cent.
