Do you find grocery shopping frustrating because you’re unsure what’s nutritional and what not?
Spokesperson for Canada’s Nutrition Facts Education Campaign Kristina Matisic says reading the label is a good start..
Look at serving size first, it will help you understand how many calories you are eating and also compare the nutritional information between products.
Then you should take a look at the percent daily value.
If you see 5 per cent or less of something, that is considered a little bit. If you see 15 per cent or more, the serving size has a lot of that.
If you are still struggling with how to eat better, she says you should find yourself a good dietician or nutritionist.
