RCMP Connect A Stolen Kayak With A Drowning

The RCMP recovering the body of a 28-year-old man from the Tobique First Nation who drowned in the St. John River.

On Tuesday morning, police got a call about a stolen kayak and around the same time they heard about a man who fell out of a kayak on the river near Perth-Andover.

Another man in the kayak was unable to save the man who fell in the river.

A search began and the man’s body was located last night.

Police tell us the kayak involved was the one that was stolen.
