Funding For Sackville Legion Will Mean More Accessibility For Veterans With Disabilities

Disabled veterans who use the Royal Canadian Legion in Sackville will soon have more accessibility.

Almost $13, 000 in federal money will go towards constructing a barrier free washroom at the Legion.

The Minister of Employment and Social Development Pierre Poilievre says it’s important that veterans who have mobility issues, are able to take full advantage of the Legion services.

He says this is part of an effort by the Harper government to ensure access for veterans with disabilities.
