As the participants of Atlanticade roll out of the city, Moncton prepares for another contingent of motorcycles.
More than 400 female riders, who are members of the oldest continuing women’s motorcycle club in North America will arrived in the Hub City today..
They’re called the Motormaids, a club that was founded in 1940, and now has over 1300 members.
Gail Neilson was the first Motormaid in Atlantic Canada. She is celebrating her 75th birthday, and says the Motormaids range in age, from 16 years to 90 years old.
This is only the 4th time the group has held their convention in Canada.
One of the highlights of the convention will be the public parade through Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe on Tuesday evening. They’ll ride in their matching white vests, gloves and blue shirts.
