The downtown business community is ecstatic about provincial funding support for a downtown entertainment centre.
Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc. executive director Anne Poirier-Basque says she was always hopeful even when many were getting discouraged by the delays.
“We knew the province was looking at this project in a very positive way. We felt that they knew this was going to be an investment in downtown.”
Poirier-Basque says the downtown centre will be a game-changer with other developers waiting in the wings for this announcement to move their own projects forward.
