The deadline for funding for the downtown entertainment centre is June 20, but that appears to be slipping away after an update from Minister Victor Boudreau.
Both federal and provincial dollars are needed, but the province says it needs more of a funding commitment from the federal government before it secures its promise for financial support.
MP for Greater Moncton Robert Goguen has said the federal government is prepared to fund infrastructure projects for the city, and that would allow the city to make more of a municipal commitment.
Boudreau also wants to see over $8 million come from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
But Goguen says the federal government never committed to that.
