A school that focuses on a more natural approach for children, is set to open in Riverview in September.
It’s the Waldrand Kinder School for children between the ages of 3 and 5.
Director and Lead Teacher Laura Martin says they look at the head, heart and hands of the child, in their four day program.
Their day is much shorter as well, at only 3 hours per day.
She says they plan to open in September and they have had a very good response so far from parents.
They have no formal academic teaching in their Kindergarten, because they believe children need to learn social skills, emotional intelligence and physical mobility before academics..
