Moncton is joining the more than 50 communities across the province taking part in the “In Motion Parks and Trail Day” today.
Residents are invited out to the Riverfront trail from 9 to noon today to check out tents from the Cities of Moncton, and Dieppe as well as the Town of Riverview.
This also marks the official start of June as Recreation and Parks Month.
In honour of In Motion Parks and Trails Day, the Town of Riverview says they have more than 80 kilometres of trails as well as more than 20 parks and playgrounds.
There are many events today to celebrate being active in the outdoors, including booths and activities along a 7 kilometre stretch of the Riverfront Trail where you can be entered into a draw for prizes.
The day is part of a province wider initiative to promote healthy, active living while celebrating the many amazing outdoor spaces across the province.
