There are many families in Moncton who have a family member dealing with Alzheimer’s.
To help support those families and individuals, the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick is conducting their Walk today.
Joanne Richard is the regional coordinator for the Society.
She says it’s their biggest fundraiser of the year.
“Families is the heart of the Walk, can you imagine being there and seeing families with their loved ones that are impacted by the disease literally coming to the walk, and doing the walk,” says Richard. “It’s very powerful.”
Registration starts at noon at the Moncton Press Club, with the walk beginning at 1 o’clock.
