Almost $23,000 has been raised in the 5th Annual Sabrina Patterson Memorial Fundraiser which was held in Sackville on the weekend.
Organizers say the amount falls short of their goal but they are still pleased by the turnout with hundreds coming out for the walk and run and other events throughout the day.
The fundraiser also includes a pancake breakfast, ATV run and evening of entertainment on June 13 at the Pine Glen Community Center.
Sabrina Patterson was murdered by an ex-boyfriend in 2010 and this event raises money and awareness in the fight against domestic violence.
