Staff Overwhelmed At The Moncton Hospital

The issue of overcrowding at The Moncton Hospital is taking its toll on employees according to the president of medical staff.

Dr. Pam Mansfield says with so many patients in so many common areas of the hospital, staff are feeling overwhelmed.

“Morale is down throughout the hospital as the nurses are trying their hardest to look after this increased load of patients and they don’t have the resources to do that.

The Gallant government recently received an open letter from Horizon Health doctors concerning overcrowding issues.

Health Minister Victor Boudreau says the province is now reviewing problems in health care and is working on solutions.
