A new provincial treatment centre to assist youth with mental health issues will be built in Campbellton.
The 15-bed centre will be constructed on a piece of land close to the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at a cost of around $12.6 million.
The centre will have a residential treatment capacity but its clinical staff will also provide outreach services in other communities around the province, ensuring that all possible efforts are made to have young patients remain in their communities.
