Spring Lobster Season Begins In Northern And Northeastern NB

Lobster fishermen in northern and northeastern New Brunswick left the port this morning to head out for the spring lobster season..

It was supposed to start at the end of last month, but too much ice in the harbour prevented that from happening.

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has sent out an advisory recommending that fishermen to use caution, because of the ice.

This comes at a very bad time, considering the Mother’s Day weekend is one of the busiest of the year for lobster sales.
