A fire on Highway 126 has left a home extensively damaged.
Moncton fire Platoon Chief Paul Bruens says they arrived on the scene at around 9pm last night, after reports of smoke coming from the residence.
Crews worked quickly to get the fire under control, but they were on the scene until around midnight putting out hot spots.
Bruens says the majority of the water and smoke damage is on the interior of the structure.
It’s believed the fire started in the kitchen area, but there’s no word on a cause yet.
No one was home when the fire broke out.
